Sheila Jo Vaughn, Age 67, of Manchester, TN passed away on March 28, 2024. She was an electrologist, a legal assistant, author, artist, and entrepreneur. Sheila attended MTSU and graduated from The School of Electrology in Memphis. She worked as a legal assistant at Kirkpatrick Law Firm until her recent illness. Sheila authored a book entitled Superseding Indictment which is a legal thriller set in a small, southern Tennessee town. She pursued several business adventures in her lifetime. She was always looking for "the next big thing".
Sheila had a fabulous sense of humor, and she was cracking jokes even in the last few days of her life. To know Sheila, was to love Sheila. She was blessed with so many friends from all over the country. She had a friendship with Conway Twitty and the country band, BlackHawk.
Sheila was a member of the Church of Christ. She was restored to the church prior to passing away. Sheila had a good heart, and loved our Lord.
Sheila was preceded in death by her fraternal grandparents, Willis Vaughn and Ella Gertrude Tenpenny Vaughn, her maternal grandparents, Elzie Wiser and Bessie Ferrell Wiser, and her father, Emmit Clark Vaughn.
Sheila is survived by her mother, Julia Wiser Vaughn. Also survived by Thompson Kirkpatrick and stepson, Trevor Kirkpatrick along with her little dog, Bella. She is survived by two sisters, Sherry Harwell (Rodney) and Kathy Tabor (Earl Newby), one nephew, Chris Harwell (Sarah) and four nieces Rachel Williams (Sam), Desiree Ritt (Ryan) Chelsea Aker (Justin) and Brittany Tabor. Sheila has several great nieces and nephews, Judd and Gus Harwell, Cade, Eli and Abbey Williams, Kinsley and Kyleigh Ritt, Evelyn and Lydia Aker, and Nora Tabor. She loved her family and her many friends!!
Visitation will be held at Manchester Funeral Home on Saturday, March 30th from 1-3PM. Funeral will be held at 3PM with burial following in the Fredonia Cemetery.
