Ricky Eugene Layne

Mr. Ricky Eugene Layne, age 64, of Manchester, passed away Friday, June 9, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Layne was born in Manchester, on April 30, 1959, to the late Oliver and Margaret (Nunley) Lane.

Mr. Ricky enjoyed barbecuing, grilling, but out of these he really enjoyed eating what he had prepared. He was a selfless man who would often put others needs before his own. He would give anyone in need the shirt off his own back to ensure that they were taken care of. He was a loving and caring father that worked hard for his family.

Ricky is survived by his sons, Bo (Valerie) Layne, James (Marcie) Layne; 2 brothers; 2 sisters; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; fiancé, Kelly and her family; a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Nancy Layne; 1 sister.

As per Mr. Layne’s request, he will be cremated, and a celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 12PM at South Cumberland State Park, Visitors Center.
