Lydia V. Shipman, 88, of Calhoun, Georgia died Saturday, May 20, 2023, after several months of declining health. She was born on November 11, 1934, in Woodbury, TN to the late Aubrey and Virgie Gilley Bush. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William Clyde Flippen and late husband, Clinton Clayton Shipman; brother, Carl Bush; sisters and brothers-in-law, Clara Belle (Howard) Simmons, Ina (Dale) Dubois, and Jean (Dillard) Anderson.
Prior to retirement Lydia was employed by Arch City Food Store.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy Flippen, Randall (Stephanie) Flippen, and Morris (Sonya) Flippen;daughter and son-in-law, Yvonne (Marlen) Pressley; grandchildren, Angela (Chris) Dunagan, Christina Lewis, Randy (Tya) Flippen, Jamie (Kevin) Parker, Jimmy (Bri) Pressley, Kimberly (Bobby) Mumm, Donielle (Adam) Sullivan, and Matthew (Traci) Flippen; great grandchildren, Heather Watts, Brandon Watts, Aaliyah Lewis, Austin Sullivan, Chandler Smith, Logan Sullivan, Noah Harris, Spencer Pressley, Jackson Parker, Brayden Sullivan, Ryleigh Flippen, Ethan Flippen, Blake Dunagan, and Gracie Dunagan; great great grandchildren, Amiyah Washington and Alesiah Washington.
