Lou Nell Brown

Funeral services for Mrs. Lou Nell Brown, age 84 of Beechgrove, will be conducted on Sunday, July 11, 2021, at 1:00PM at Manchester Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Beechgrove Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, from 11:00AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Brown passed away on Wednesday July 7, 2021, at Unity Medical Center.

Mrs. Brown was born on July 30, 1936, in Huntsville, AL, to the late Grady and Ruby Pressley. Mrs. Brown enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brown is preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Harvey Brown; one son, Roy Brown, two daughters, Phyllis Sutton and Barbara Jo Brown; two brothers, Dillard Pressley and David Pressley; three sisters, Joyce Dodd, Betty Jo Smith, and Zela Mae Elliott. She is survived by two sons, Keith Brown (Sherri) and Billy Brown; one daughter, Dorothy Bailey (Alan); one brother, Grady Pressley, Jr.; two sisters, Myrtle “Boots” Louise Mackessey and Peggy Williams; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
