Mrs. Jewell Elizabeth (Little) Dillard was born on September 30th, 1927 in Hollywood, AL, the daughter of the late Dennis Little and Annie Bell Starky. She returned to her heavenly home on March 16th, 2021. She retired from Carrier, Inc. She was a faithful member of Lane St. Church of Christ for many years. She loved traveling, sewing, crossword puzzles, and reciting her favorite poem that she learned back in 1946,

In addition to her parents, Jewell was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jake Dillard, five brothers: Nathan Little, Samuel Little, Manuel Little, Ernest Little, William Little, two sisters: Eva Crutch, and Roberta Stewart, three sons: Jake Dillard Jr., Harry Dillard, and David Dillard (Doris) of Paducah, KY, one daughter, Forestine Rowe, four grandchildren: Toni, Latisha, Tyese, and Rudy.
She is survived by her three sons: Tom Dillard (Jeannette) of Bradyville, TN, Melvin Dillard (Phyllis) of Cleveland, OH, Dennis Dillard (Ann) of Cleveland, OH, four daughters: Nellie Battles (Bobby) of Pocahontas, TN, Myrtle Dillard, and Diane Dozier, both of Manchester, TN, Sarah Dillard of Columbus, GA, 20 granddaughters, 7 grandsons, 30 great-grandchildren, and a devoted sister-in-law, Gloria Little of Cleveland, OH. She will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews, church family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on March 28th, 2021 at 2 pm at Manchester Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Paul Elam “MC”, officiating. Family will arrive at 1 pm. Burial will follow at the Cypress Cemetery. Pallbearers: Harress McClain, Raynel Dillard, Jacoby Dillard, Victor Little, Roger Little, and Jerome Dillard. Honorary pallbearer: Aaron Rowe. Flower ladies: La Shonda Dillard, Sheneka Dillard, Tonya Battles, Elizabeth Peppers, Samantha Dozier, Yvette Battles, and Kim Peacock. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6 – 9 pm, family viewing starts at 5 pm.
