James “Jimmy” Albert Wilkes, age 75, passed away, following a brief illness, on Sunday, August 29, 2021.
Born October 9, 1945, in Nashville, Tennessee to the late James Wilkes and Cornelia Payne, “Jimmy” had devoted most of his life to the United States Air Force, being a twenty-eight-year retired veteran and serving in the Vietnam War. “Jimmy” was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Club Post 82 of Nashville, Tennessee. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching “The Simpsons” and eating Milky Way candy bars. He also enjoyed fellowshipping with his friends daily and generally just enjoyed life. “Jimmy” will be missed dearly.
He is survived by two special nieces, Linda (Dan) Doyle and Pattye (Terry Eckhardt) Scott.
