James (Jimmy) David Rivenbark was born on Saturday, December 29, 1951, in Hialeah, FL, to the late Thomas and Lillian (Edens) Rivenbark. Jimmy was an Auto Body Repair Man and also worked for Nissan in Top Coat. He was a member of the Fredonia Church of Christ here in Manchester. He was a big fan of classic southern rock music, was very familiar with their bands, and he loved attending their concerts. He spent lots of his time restoring his 1973 corvette, and he restored many other corvettes throughout the years for others. Some of Jimmy’s many hobbies and interests included traveling with his family to over 40 states and to National parks, especially Yellowstone, being outdoors during deer hunting season, and watching the Nashville Predators Hockey Team. He loved animals especially his cats, dogs, and horses.
Jimmy was a great cook and loved hosting meals for family and friends. Throughout his life he gave “many” people a “hand up” by welcoming them to live in their home. Jesus Christ was his Lord and Savior, and living a Christian life was the cornerstone of his life.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy is preceded in death by his brother, Thomas V. Rivenbark III, sister, Barbara Strickland; father and mother-in-law, Henry Benton Banks and Vinta Banks; brothers-in-law, Harold Myers, and Norman Banks. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Marga Rivenbark; son, David Rivenbark; daughter, Amy Rivenbark; sisters, Frances Myers, and Linda Bunting (Richard); brothers-in-law, Allen Strickland, and Joseph Banks; sisters-in-law, Doris Rivenbark, and Patricia Shrader; many extended family members and a host of friends.

Burial will follow in Fredonia Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held on Monday September 11, 2023, from 5 PM until 8 PM at the Funeral Home, and again from 11AM until time of service on Tuesday.
