Eunice Juel (Bugg) McConnell

Eunice Juel (Bugg) McConnell, age 93, of Manchester, passed away Monday, October 2, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on, June 26, 1930, in Woodbury, TN, the daughter of the late Oscar and Myra (Smithson) Bugg.

Mrs. McConnell was a member of the Forest Mill Church, and a volunteer, that loved serving those of her community. Serving 34 years with the Meals on Wheels, and 5,000 hours as Hospital Auxiliary here in Manchester. When she wasn’t volunteering you would find her sewing, gardening, and doing anything to do with crafting.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. McConnell is preceded in death by her, brothers, Al Bugg, and Paul Bugg; sisters, Mary Newhouse, and Christine Floyd. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Doygle E. McConnell; children, Teresa Meadows (husband Doug), Jeff McConnell (wife Susan), MaryAnn Thompson (husband Kevin), and Myra McConnell; sister, Elizabeth Hartsfield; grandchildren, Ashley, Bradley, Kayla, Josh, Jon, Jake, Dustin, Maddison, and Luke; 12 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Forest Mill Church of Christ, at 2 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Forest Mill Church of Christ Ramp Ministry, in memory of Mrs. Eunice McConnell.
