Elmer Glenn Smith

Elmer Glenn Smith, age 81, of Beechgrove, Tennessee, passed from this life on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Elmer was born on October 17, 1941, in Galax, Virginia, to the late Paul and Clyde Smith. He was in the US Marines for eight years and he also owned Comet Electric in West Palm Beach, Florida before moving to Tennessee. He enjoyed all aspects of farming and being with his family. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by, one son, Todd Smith; four brothers, Ronnie Smith, Jimmy Smith, Richard Smith, and Roger Smith. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Chickee Smith; two sons, Tim Smith (Angel) and their children, Andrew Smith and Austin Smith, and  Toby Smith (Rhonda) and their child, Kayla Smith; one sister, Francis Richardson (Wayne); three stepsisters, Linda, Laura, and Carol.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Manchester Funeral Home at 7:00 PM. Visitation with the family will be held prior to the service at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
