Catherine Mozelle (Potuk) Hawk

Ms. Catherine Mozelle Hawk, or “Cappy” or “Mama Hawk” as she was fondly known as by family and friends, was born on February 16, 1944, in Camp Forest, TN, to the late Michael and Helen Hickerson Potuk. She was a retired production worker for Rich Products and a member of the Bakery and Confectionery Union, Local 025. Ms. Catherine was also a member of the New Union Church of Christ. She was an avid Rook player, and she enjoyed cooking and baking. Ms. Catherine also enjoyed fishing when her children were young.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Catherine is preceded in death by her son, Thomas Lee Blanton and brother, Michael Potuk, Jr. She is survived by her children, Michael Scott Blanton of Manchester, Paul Shawn Blanton (April) of Knoxville, and Sunday Mozelle Blanton of Manchester; grandchildren, Tara, Paul, Chelsea, and Scotty; 6 great grandchildren; brother, Thomas Potuk (Sarah); step sister, Peggy Potuk of Las Vegas; her beloved pugs, Sam & Muffin; several extended family members and a host of friends.

As per Ms. Catherine’s request, cremation was chosen and there are no services scheduled at this time.
