Annie Sue (Brown) Vandagriff

Funeral services for Annie Sue (Brown) Vandagriff, age 88, of Manchester, TN, will be held at the Manchester Funeral Home on Friday, November 17th at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Keith Sims officiating. Internment will follow at the Hillsboro Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery. The family will also receive friends on Thursday, November 16th from 5-8 p.m.

Mrs. Vandagriff left this world peacefully on November 14, 2023 at home after an extended illness. She was born on September 19, 1935 in the Asbury community to the late Barney Burr and Ola (Hamby) Brown. She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Manchester, TN. Her faith in God always filled her heart.

She was a homemaker, and got the most joy from spending time with friends and loved ones; and she was loved by everyone she knew. She often reflected on her “happiest memories” of years gone by when the Brown family of all ages joined together almost weekly to enjoy times filled with music and love.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children’s father, Donald D. Edde, and her son, Terry M. Edde; brothers: James Brown, Horace Brown, Willie Brown, Bobby Brown, Fred Brown and J.W. Brown; and sisters: Corene Long, Deany Cobble Butner and Irene Franklin. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, George W. Vandagriff. Also survived by her son, Keith (Shirley) Edde, and her daughters, Rebecca (Randall) Woodlee and LaDonna (John) Hill, all of Manchester, TN. And survived by her grandchildren, Krystle, Rhett, Keila, Jessica, Paten and Hannah; 7 great grandchildren, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
