Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Elrod, age 71, of Manchester, will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Gary Bell and Bro. Jeff Ingold officiating. Burial will follow at Fredonia Cemetery. Visitation with the Elrod family will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 22 at the funeral home. Mrs. Elrod passed away Sunday at her residence, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Elrod was born in Jasper, FL, the daughter of the late Barney and Neta Waters Morgan. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Elrod was preceded in death by her husband, George Elrod, who passed away in 2007; one son, Butch Elrod; and one sister, Beverly Morgan. She is survived by one son, Mike Elrod of Manchester; one daughter, Natalie (Stephen) Lynn of Manchester; one grandson, Lucas William Lynn; one sister, Carolyn (Howard) Ingold; one brother, Barney Joe Morgan; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, the Elrod family requests donations to Avalon Hospice in Tullahoma and/or American Cancer Society.
