Memorial services for Elliott Reid Heard, age 20, of Manchester will be conducted at 2 PM on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Hoover’s Gap Church, 13446 Hwy. 41, Beech Grove with Bro. David Ash officiating. Visitation with the Heard family will be from 1 PM until time of service on Saturday. Mr. Heard passed from this life on Friday, April 23, 2010 in Manchester.

Mr. Heard was born in Houston, TX, the son of Paul W. and Cathy Darlene Dick Heard of Manchester. He loved to play Xbox, fish, swim and was an avid reader and practical joker. He was known for his keen sense of humor and being a deep thinker. Elliott moved to Manchester a year ago from Murfreesboro. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Darwin E. and Lucille Dick and paternal grandparents, Curtis and Louise Heard. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Whitney Heard of Bowling Green, KY; half brothers, Keith Heard of El Paso, TX and Kevin Heard of Houston, TX; special aunts and uncles, Donna Lou and Albert “Happy” Toombs of Smyrna, TN and Don and Mandy Heard of Eau Claire, WI; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
